Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Variant in India Launched, Goes on Sale Tomorrow

    Xiaomi on Tuesday launched a new variant of its Redmi 6A smartphone, dubbed the Redmi K20 Pro. The company says the Redmi K20 Pro will be an Amazon.in-exclusive smartphone. The smartphone was launched in Thailand in September and is already up for pre-booking in the country. However, it is currently unknown when exactly will the Redmi K20 Pro become available in India. Key highlights of the new model include AI-backed Face Unlock support, and a 20-megapixel primary sensor on the back. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is also part of the package, as is the Snapdragon 450 SoC. The Redmi K20 Pro also comes with dual rear cameras. It is also expected to sport a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a single rear camera setup, as well as run Android 8.1 Oreo. Pricing and availability details for the Redmi K20 Pro are also unclear at the moment.

    Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro price

    The Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro price in Thailand is THB 1,599 (roughly Rs. 13,900) for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant, and THB 2,399 (roughly Rs. 15,100) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model. Both variants come with a dedicated microSD card slot, and are also sold with 12-month complimentary service from Rakuten, a telecommunications company in Thailand. Amazon.in has put the price of the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant at THB 1,399 (roughly Rs. 14,500), while the 3GB RAM and 64GB storage model is listed for 1,599 Thai Baht (roughly Rs. 17,400).

    Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 Pro launched in India

    The Xiaomi Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro smartphones have been launched in India in the budget Redmi series. The new Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro models are powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, and sport a dual rear camera setup. As for the Redmi 6A, it comes with a polycarbonate body and sports a 5.45-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) display, and is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, paired with up to 3GB of RAM. It has a single 13-megapixel camera sensor on the back, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera setup. The Redmi 6A is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery and has microSD card support, as well as 3.5mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth 4.2 LE. On the other hand, the Redmi 6 Pro sports a 5.84-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) display, coupled with a Snapdragon 625 SoC and up to 4GB of RAM. The smartphone also has a dual rear camera setup, with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Both the cameras come with an f/2.2 aperture and PDAF.
