Samsung Galaxy M01s receives 'Initial Verification' from TENAA

The Samsung Galaxy M01s has been spotted on the Chinese certification authority, TENAA. This isn't a surprising move from Samsung as it will be one of the several Galaxy M smartphones that the company plans to launch this year. Last year, the company had unveiled the Galaxy M10 and the M20 smartphones in India  were all sub-Rs 15,000 budget smartphones. However, this time the smartphone will be a part of the M-series and will be pitched as a serious budget smartphone.

    Samsung Galaxy M01s specifications

The Galaxy M01s looks quite similar to the Galaxy M10 which is a budget smartphone from the company. The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M01s will almost be identical to the Galaxy M10. The Galaxy M01s has a 6.09-inch display panel with a HD+ resolution. This device will have a thin bezel on the top which will have the selfie camera and a light sensor. The front camera might not be the dual camera setup but an LED flash which is to be expected on this smartphone. The smartphone will be powered by the Exynos 7870 SoC paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space.

On the optical front, the device will offer an 8-megapixel sensor at the front for selfies and for video calling. This might not be the highest-resolution sensor but considering the price, it is not a major issue. The other camera sensor is of 13-megapixel at the rear which will offer a picture of quality which can compete against most of the other budget smartphones.

The cameras on the Samsung Galaxy M01s will offer an AI Beauty Mode and also HDR mode. Keeping on to the cameras, the device will be launched with an IP68 certification which means it will survive in the water. The other specifications are expected to include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3300mAh battery with Samsung's fast charging support. The smartphone is expected to launch in black, blue, and gold color options. The pricing of the smartphone is expected to be around Rs 12,000.
